Hi everyone! This is my first ever blog posting so be patient with me as I don't know what I'm doing. I'm sure I'll get better at it as I move from the "techno-tard" stage to becoming a techno wizzard.
The reason I wanted to post something on this site is because yesterday morning dad and I visited the "musical highway" here in Lancaster and video taped it. Recently Honda made a commercial here in Lancaster on the west side of Ave. K. A musician and an engineer worked together to put just the right grooves in the road so that when you ride over it a tune is played from the tires meeting the grooves. I hope that made sense (I'm no writer). As you watch this video, you will be able to recognize the tune (William Tell Overture). This is one of only three roads like this in the world. As you can imagine, due to the curiosity factor, this musical highway has become a popular place to drive in the past week or so. Unfortunately, due to the increase in traffic in the area where this highway is located some of the residents have complained so much that the city of Lancaster is giving in to their complaints and tomorrow morning crews will begin to smooth out the road. How sad! Our notoriety was short-lived but thank goodness we got it on video.
