My thought for the day:

"Stresses in our lives come regardless of our circumstances. We must deal with them the best we can. But we should not let them get in the way of what is most important -- and what is most important almost always involves the people around us." -- Pres. Monson

By prioritizing our lives and the myriad number of things we need to accomplish each day, we can make time for the most important things, namely our family members. Let's reach out in love to those that we care about most.

Livi and Me

I got to spend some "quality time" with little Livi last May when Nicole, Ethan, and Ella went to Disneyland. I believe that being a grandmother is one of God's greatest gifts to older women!

Cutest Grandkids Ever

I took Ethan and Ella to Apollo Park. We ate lunch, played on the playground, fed the ducks, flew kites, collected feathers, and had a very fun afternoon. Sure wish we could do that more often!

What I learned about blogging

Ok, so I'm new at this blogging business. I just added some photos and videos, which is fine, but I didn't know they were going to be posted in reverse order. I wanted the discription first, the photos next, then the videos last. Oh well, next time I post things I'll know to do them in the reverse order of what I want. Life is a school. We are always learning.

Trip to Santa Monica Beach

Santa Monica Beach

Summer is here, along with the very hot Antelope Valley heat. In order to get away from the heat, Alan and I loaded up the beach bikes and boogie boards and hit Santa Monica Beach last Friday (July 24th) for a day of fun. First we headed up the coast on our bicycles for about 3 miles, then headed back to the beach. We ate lunch on the pier and then hit the beach. The waves have been at a record high so boogie boarding was so much fun. I've never been able to ride in each and every wave before. It was awesome! If I can figure out how, I'll post videos of each of us riding in a wave, along with some photos.

Coming back to the A.V. heat was no fun, nor was cleaning up the car and house from all the sand, but the trip was well worth it. We may even repeat it this Friday. Let the fun begin!
