Last December, Nicole's brother James got married. At one point in the program, a singer sang to the new bride and groom. Ella, dressed like the princess she loves to be, was so tempted to start dancing to the song. She tried to hold it back, but still discreetly got some groovin' in. I'm sorry that the picture is not very good because of the darkness in the room and the distance from me to the wedding party. I wish I could have zoomed in closer to Ella, but it was zoomed in as far as my camera would allow. Oh well. I hope you enjoy this, Nicole.

Wrong Answer!
Most mornings when I get ready for the day I listen to a Los Angeles Talk Radio Station. This morning, out of habit, I turned on the radio and it was "The Jesus Christ Show" where a man pretends to be Jesus Christ and people call in with questions and he answers their questions as if he is Christ. The whole concept of someone pretending to be Christ annoys be but I didn't turn off the show because I was intrigued by the first caller's question and wanted to see how he would answer it. The caller was an older gentleman who had lost his wife a couple of years ago. He wanted "Christ" to tell him what his wife and other people who had passed on do in heaven 24/7. Think about how you would answer that question. It is pretty obvious for those of us who are LDS and have been taught the Plan of Happiness our whole lives, but I guess it's not so simple for those who don't know about that glorious plan from our Father. Although the host of the show, pretending to be Jesus Christ, seems to have a lot of knowledge as far as secular Bible knowledge goes, he defininitely didn't know the correct answer to this question. He talked with the caller about this life and how it is full of experiences and how we are basically bound by time and have varying experiences during different times in our lives. He talked about remembering certain experiences such as a first date, first kiss, wedding, birth of a child, etc. and said that at those times you are "caught up in the moment" and it's almost like other things don't matter and you are just living for that moment. He told the caller that heaven was like that - that we are not bound by time and that we just exist or are in the moment praising and worshipping God. This "Jesus Christ" guy made it sound like we are zombies or something with nothing to do but praise God. Now, don't get me wrong. I know that we will be praising and honoring God, but there's so much more that we'll be doing than just that. I wanted to call up the radio station and set "Jesus Christ" straight. He's leading all of those listeners astray with that answer. Oh how I'd love him to know the truth so he could pass it on to the listeners. This has made me really ponder about the importance of sharing the gospel with our neighbors who don't have the truth and could really benefit from it. Thank goodness for the Plan of Salvation and other truths of the gospel. Because of that knowledge, it gives me so much to live for and hope for other than basically just existing and doing nothing in the next life. I love our Father's plan. It makes me happy.

Heart Healthy Birthday Treat
Today is Alan's birthday. Last night I asked him if he wanted me to make him a birthday cake today. He quickly ansered in the negative because we are trying to cut back on our sugar consumption. Therefore, instead of a cake, I made him some whole wheat bread. Thank you, Gayle, (if you are reading this) for sharing your recipe with me. This is the best whole wheat bread I've ever made. It is and light and airy and melt-in-your-mouth good, if I must say so myself. I'm hoping that eating this bread instead of cake will do our hearts good. I just have to remember not to overload the slices with butter and home-made strawberry jam or honey, which is a big temptation.
Oh....now I'm craving another piece. Will you excuse me, my mouth is watering and I've gotta run to the kitchen for more.
