New Year.....New Changes

 It is hard to believe that another year has passed and now we are into 2022. I'm certainly hoping that 2022 is a good year for us. I know at least one great thing will happen this year - Cheryl & Parker will be gaining a new son or daughter a week from today, on January 16th. I'm very excited for this event to take place and can't wait to hold him or her in my arms. I know Kessler will be a good big brother.

Ever since we moved into our new home nine months ago, we have upgraded several things (yard, sitting room, basement carpet, etc.). Last month, for Christmas and our anniversary, we gifted each other some furniture for our upstairs family room. We got two electric recliner loveseats and we also got two swivel/rocker chairs. We recently put a big clock above the tv, which I think really helps to fill that empty space. Yesterday we purchased an area rug to finish the project. I may change out some of the accessories, but for now I think I'm done with this room.

We sold the couch and loveseat that we had in our living room in Lancaster. We didn't get much for them, but I was happy to see them go.

In this house, the couch was downstairs and the loveseat was in our sitting room. By selling them, we made room for the brown couch and loveseat (that we had in the upstairs family room) to go downstairs.

I thought we were done with this sitting room, but we ordered a new loveseat that hasn't arrived yet. We probably won't get it until we get back home after our trip to California and Arizona next week. I will update this post at that time.

It's been kind of fun to make all of these changes, but it's always fun to finish the project, too. It doesn't look perfect because I'm no interior decorator, but I'm happy with the results. The rooms make me happy and are comfortable. That's all that matters!
