I needed a new watch so I decided to see what I could find on e-bay. My qualifications were that it had to have the time, the date, and a night light. I found a watch that looked rather unique that fit my qualifications, but of course you can't tell if it is quality or not through a photo. For fun I decided to bid on it, knowing the sale would end in about 5 min. The starting price was $0.01. I decided to put my high bid at $5 then I waited until the time expired to see the results. Since nobody else bid on it, I won the bid so I ended up purchasing it for $0.01. That's right, I got it for a penny. Of course I did have to pay for shipping, which turned out to be $12. I didn't think to look where it was being shipped from until after I had bid and paid for the thing. It took a while to get here, but it arrived today and was in good shape. Here are a couple of photos of it -- one on my wrist and the other on the cute little pillow it arrived with.
I'm no fashionista so I think this watch is a steal for one cent plus shipping, but maybe you don't like it much and don't think it's a steal at all. I think the extra battery that came with it makes it a real steal, but you be the judge.....steal or no steal. I'll be waiting for the verdict.
(BTW, if you click on the photo you can get a closer look before you make the judgement call)

Now THAT is an interesting watch. I like it. Of course it is a "steal."
If you want to find out how much it is really worth, can't you look it up online somewhere? I'm sure when you find out it is worth a lot more than $12 you will be even more excited. I always do that with my DI purchases.
Definitely a once in a lifetime bargain for you! I thought the shipping was a little much but coming from Singapore it makes sense that there should be some charge. Congrats on you bidding. I'll have to try that sometime! Thanks for sharing =0)
