Independence Day Celebration!

I got tired of basically doing nothing on the 4th of July so this year I suggested to Alan an activity that  I thought we might enjoy, and we did.  It was to attend a rodeo at the A.V. Fairgrounds with fireworks afterwards.  The Fairgrounds is where the City of Lancaster does their fireworks, so it is always a big affair.

The rodeo was just professional bull riding that night, but we enjoyed it a lot.  I was able to get a couple of good videos of the action.  This first one is of a rider who rode the whole 8 seconds (which didn't happen a lot) but then the bull ran into the fence.  You will see what happens next.

This second video is of a rider who didn't last too long, but thank goodness for the "distractor" who led the bull away from the rider at his own peril. (They didn't dress as clowns that night like I've seen in the past)

This is just a taste of the fireworks show we were able to enjoy.  I loved all of the patriotic music that went along with the fireworks.  That music really helped increase my gratitude for our country and the men and women who serve us so faithfully in our armed forces.  We owe them a lot!!!  GOD BLESS THE U.S.A!!!
