The beach is always a nice place to visit in San Diego. That was the first thing we were able to do. Here are some highlight photos mostly captured by Cheryl.
Nap time for little Milo
Looks like Milo is a little afraid of getting his feet wet.
Sure do love this cute little guy!
That first evening, Kyle and Emily were able to attend a session at the San Diego Temple while the rest of us babysat Milo. I am so glad that they were able to get out together as a couple, and especially that they were able to attend the temple.
The next day we (everyone except Kyle) got to go to Sea World. We had a great time there attending the animal shows and enjoying some rides. Milo was such a good baby the whole trip, thank goodness. He is so easy going. Kyle & Emily should be counting their blessings!
Here are some photos of Sea World
The Dolphin Show was amazing!
Taking a lunch break. The weather was so hot that we needed hats to get some relief from the sun. Cheryl found hers, but Jared had to purchase his.
Aerial view of the park as we rode a tram.
Sea Lion and Seal displays
That is my hand in the middle petting a dolphin.
Exhausting day of fun for Milo!
Cheryl doing her flamingo pose (note her flamingo colored shirt).
On our last day in San Diego, we were able to visit the historical Old Town. This is a famous tourist attraction and includes the Mormon Battalion and other historical buildings. At one point it was ruled by Mexico so it does have a Mexican flavor to it.
Our favorite place for Mexican food is Miguel's in Old Town. I was thrilled to be able to eat there again.
After leaving San Diego, we stopped at Dodger Stadium for "Mormon Day". The Dodgers played horribly against the Phillies, but we still had a good time.
Elder Holland threw out the first pitch, which was fun to watch. My phone camera doesn't zoom well so I have used stock photos from newspapers/magazines.
