Meet the "Garden Angel" we inherited when we bought this house. She has wings, so I named her Lois after my angel mother.
I like to imagine that she is watching over us like a guardian angel. That thought brings me a lot of comfort. I feel that our departed loved ones do watch over us and still care very much about what happens to us here on the earth.
I found this guardian angel prayer online that touched me:
Angel of God
my guardian dear
to whom God's love
commits me here.
Ever this day
be at my side,
to light and guard,
to rule and guide.
Amen
A guardian angel is someone assigned by God to protect and guide individual persons. I believe everyone has at least one guardian angel and I feel it must be someone we are close to or related to. One day in the future, I will know who my guardian angel is. I can't wait for that day! Until then, I will welcome Lois into my life as my "garden angel" and allow her to stand as a sentinel over our home and property.
