I was sitting in my recliner on Sunday afternoon (June 13th) and Jared was sitting a few feet away. Alan was taking a nap and Cheryl and Kessler were getting ready to go visit her in-laws - Bruce & Karla Stronk. Right before she left, Cheryl approached me and handed me this picture and said that Kessler had drawn me a picture. She noted that the picture didn't look great because we need new markers because they don't work well. She had to leave, so she couldn't wait until Alan woke up to give this to both of us together.
I noticed that there was a picture on the other side so I turned it over and had to choke back the tears of joy.
I am so excited that Cheryl and Parker are expecting another little one! January can't come quickly enough for this Grandmother!
When Alan woke up from his nap, I handed him the picture (back-side up) like Cheryl had given to me and told him that Kessler had drawn us a picture. Eventually Alan turned it over but didn't understand what the message was. I had to explain that Kessler was going to be a big brother in January. Alan excitedly said "No!!!" He was just as elated with the news as I was. We have been praying that Cheryl and Parker would be able to have more children. Prayers are answered and miracles do happen! We couldn't be happier!!!
UPDATE: After Cheryl got back to California, she had a doctors appointment for an ultrasound. Everything with the pregnancy looks good in spite of a scare she had early in the pregnancy where she had a uterine bleed and was on bed rest for three days. The heartbeat seems to be fine and all seems to be going well. We don't want/need another miscarriage!
