Halloween 2025

I love how each year my children will send pictures of them or their children dressed up in their costumes on Halloween. There have been so many different costumes over the years and many have been very creative.

Here are a few of the pictures from this year. I will start with the youngest - Benjamin. This was his first Halloween and he was dressed as a Walrus. Jared & Catherine both dressed up as well. Jared said that they took Benjamin trick-or-treating and after one house he fell asleep. Haha!

Cheryl's kids dressed up like Ghost Busters to go trick-or-treating. The whole family looks great.

Earlier in the day, Wesley dressed up as a skeleton for pre-school. She had cute little ghosts in her hair. Lainey was wearing a pumpkin outfit.

Milo was dressed up as "light up dance guy" and Clara's character is from the K-pop Demon Hunter film (which, evidently, she is obsessed with).

Olivia had two different costumes that I received pictures of. One is from American Psycho, Patrick Bateman. I'm not familiar with that movie, but she sure looks scary.

Another costume of Olivia's is of a "performative man", a term I've never heard of until now. She borrowed the checkered shirt from Alan.

Even though Halloween isn't my favorite holiday, I always decorate my home and try to embrace the quirkiness of it. I prefer the focus of a holiday to be on something more positive like how Christmas and Easter focus on Christ, rather than focusing on more pagan customs like Halloween does. Oh well, I'm happy to go along with it since the kids enjoy dressing up so much.
