I Should Have Known!!!

An interesting thing happened at the temple yesterday and it turned out to be a little bit of a mystery....until I finally figured it out.

I was in a hurry to get to my 5:45 a.m. coordinators meeting so my friend Paula helped me out by taking my lunch to the cafeteria and leaving it in the ordinance workers fridge.  When I found time for a break around 9:30 a.m., I retrieved it from the fridge.  I always put my initials on my bag so I can quickly identify it from all the other little brown bags occupying the fridge.  When I pulled out my bag, I noticed someone had added a note below my initials.

Since I hadn't seen this note prior to my arrival at the temple, I assumed that Paula had written it after I handed it to her to take to the fridge.  She told me that she didn't write it, but informed me that if she had thought of doing it she would have.  I asked Carol if she wrote it.  She is another friend who carpools with us.  She said she didn't write it either.  The mystery was getting more intense.  I HAD to know who wrote it.  I asked a couple of other ordinance workers about it, but they just thought it was funny.  I finally came to the conclusion that someone had picked a random bag from the fridge and added the note and I left it at that for the time being.

I thought I had put this little mystery to rest, but on the way home, I couldn't stop thinking about it.  Then it hit me!!!  Alan must have written it while it was in the fridge at home and I just didn't see the note until my break.  That had to be it!  Later, when Alan got home from work I asked him about it.  He admitted it was him...and said he will probably do it again in the future because "I am hot".  That is very flattering and I appreciate his playfulness and attempt at romance.  That was a very sweet thing to do.  I just wish I would have seen it before I left home - it could have saved me some embarrassment with my friends.

On a side note, an older sister showed up at the initiatory desk yesterday requesting one family file name to be done while she went up to do some sealings. She was going to take that name through a session after her sealings. When she returned she mentioned to us that she was 101 years old and it was hard to keep up with all of the things she needed to do.  She will be 102 in July!!!  Wow, she didn't look a day over 80, but more impressive than that is that she is still very active and mobile.  She didn't need a cane, walker, or any other kind of aid to help her get around.  She is an amazing woman.  I want to be like her when I grow up.

That 101 yr. old lady inspires me. I didn't know men Alan's age called women "hot". I thought it was more like "stylin'" or something like that. But what do I know, You're both a couple of "hipsters" anyway. When my computer was downloading your post it was a little slow and so the first thing I saw were the initials IBS. I'm glad it wasn't some kind of revelation.
