New Branch Assignment

Yesterday, at church, President Trujillo (our Branch President) spoke with me and asked me if I would be willing to teach the Temple Preparation Class (seven lessons) to a couple who plan to be sealed in the temple in a couple of months. I was thrilled to be asked to teach them and readily accepted the invitation. Thank goodness they know English well because there is no way I could teach them in Spanish.

My happy place is at any temple of God. I don't get to go as often as I would like now that I'm no longer and ordinance worker, but I definitely cherish the times I can go.

I hope I can help prepare this wonderful couple well prior to their sealing so that it will be a marvelous and unforgettable experience for them. I'm grateful to be an instrument in the hands of the Lord by teaching them and hopefully sharing my love of the temple with them.

I'm so thrilled to finally be contributing something worthwhile to the Branch.
Being a part of this Spanish Branch has been a bigger blessing to me than I originally thought it would be and this will make my experience there even sweeter.

[Incidentally, Alan was asked to substitute teach the Elder's Quorum lessons. Now we are both contributing to the Branch. He will, obviously, be teaching them in Spanish.]

My Spanish is still very poor, but I'm improving it every day and I now understand a little more of what the members are saying during the meetings. Outside of the meetings, they speak to me in English, which is helpful. I love the Latin American members!
