It has become increasingly more important than ever to focus on Christ in today's world. It seems that the whole world is turned upside down. To me, every day is opposites day -- what is good (God, Liberty, truth, freedoms, law & order, etc.) is considered bad and what is bad (abortion, lawlessness, censorship, deceit, etc.) is considered good. It's just crazy!!!
The only way I can sort through all of this craziness and find some peace of mind is through finding time every single day to focus on the Savior. He is the author and finisher of my faith. He is the one who gives me hope for the future...not just in this life, but in the world to come. He is the one who brings peace to my soul when the whole world seems to be falling apart. He is the one who I turn to when I am in need of comfort and reassurance that all will be well. He is the one who fills me with a desire to be all that I can be.
I know I have my faults and short-comings. I'm definitely not perfect. Nobody is! But I'm trying to do better and to be better. The only way I can do that is by trying to become more like my Savior, Jesus Christ, and focusing on him during the storms in my life.
